A pleasant find is the Dancing Coyote Wines (Clarksburg CA AVA) shown at the Tapas Grand Tasting, Ft. Mason, San Francisco last Sunday (June 14, 09). I enjoyed their 07 Verdelho, very balanced acids with a creaminess on the finish. Nice combination of tropical and citrus characteristics. In addition the Albarino did have a nice acid finish. Blended with a little Orange Muscat and Gewurztraminer makes this a delicious food wine with fish or shellfish. The packaging and labeling is whimsey and compliments the experience of tasting, enjoying and entertaining. Julie McCormack (sales) pictured.
